Mr. Pal is Appointed as Assistant Principal
- by Linden Hill
During the April, 2012 meeting, the School Board appointed Nathan Palkovitz, as the Assistant Principal at Linden Hill. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Palkovitz had been assigned as acting Assistant Principal. Although Mr. Pal (as he is known throughout the school) is a well-regarded Linden Hill teacher, counselor and community member, he officially steps into the position of Assistant Principal on July 1st, 2012.
A hiring committee of teachers, administrators, and parents interviewed several candidates in March. Principal, Debbie Brady, stated that the committee was looking for a candidate that reflected the school’s values and commitment to children. “Mr. Palkovitz demonstrates his dedication to the students, staff and families at Linden Hill on a daily basis.”
Palkovitz stepped into the position of Assistant Principal in March of 2011 when Mrs. Brady became the acting Principal, for long-time Principal, Dr. Mary Bradley. In October of 2011, Dr. Bradley officially retired from her fifteen year tenure at Linden Hill. It was at this time that the hiring process began.
Palkovitz is pleased and excited to fill this new role at Linden Hill. “I love the way that students, staff and families all work together,” states Palkovitz, “there’s a real team spirit here at Linden Hill. I think that is one of the things that defines us.” While Palkovitz is not new to the school, he says that his time as acting Assistant Principal has been a learning experience. “I have learned a lot, I have grown a lot and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue in this role next year.”
We are glad to have you Mr. Pal and welcome again, Mr. Assistant Principal!
